What is the Denver Fencing Center?

The Denver Fencing Center (DFC) is a full-time fencing facilities located just minutes away from downtown Denver (near Santa Fe and Evans). We offer over 30 different fencing classes weekly for all ages and all abilities. As a true fencing center, we train fencers in all three Olympic fencing weapons: foil, épée, and sabre. In less than five years, we have grown to be the largest U.S. Fencing Member club in Colorado.

Denver Fencing Center fencers rock North American Cup in Kansas City

The fencers who fence at the Denver Fencing Center achieved amazing results at U.S. Fencing North American Cup in Kansas City on December 9th to 12th. Dan Rees of RMFA (pictured left).took 3rd plance in Veteran Men's Epee. Sydney Oswald, DFC, took 13th in Division II Women's Epee and earned her D rating. DFC Coach John Kissingford (2nd picture right) won a National Medal in Veteran Men's Foil and earned his C rating. Maria McCormick (3rd picture left) struggled early in the tournament but came alive to take a National Medal in Veteran 50 Women's Epee and earn her D rating. Mary Wilkerson won her 15th National Medal in Veteran Women's Sabre. And the biggest win of all came from DFC coach and RMFA Head Coach Maciej who took the Gold Medal in Veteran 50 Men's Epee, defeating Walter Dragonetti, 2009 Vet 50 World Champion 10-4!!!! There is a reason that the kids call him "Mr. Magic"! We also had top 16 finishes from Donald Alperstein and Eva Heinrich in their events.
